Where do I call to report criminal activity?
For an emergency or to report a crime in progress, call 911.  To report a crime that happened in the past, call the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

Do I need HOA approval to paint or remodel the exterior of my house?
Yes the Summer Hills HOA Architectural Committee reviews homeowner plans that involve modifying the outward appearance of the homes in Summer Hills.  These plans can be submitted to our property management company, Custom Management.

How can I address my concerns to the HOA Board?
For immediate concerns, you can contact the board through Custom Management or via email: MySummerHills@gmail.com.  Also, we have an open monthly HOA meeting and you will have the opportunity to publicly address any concerns you may have with the association.

Am I allowed to attend the monthly HOA Board meetings?
Yes!  The regularly scheduled monthly HOA meetings are open to everyone living in Summer Hills.  There is one portion of the meeting, called the Executive Session, where we discuss individual deed restriction violations.  Due to the nature of this information, this portion of the meeting is reserved only for the board and the property management company.

When are the HOA board meetings scheduled?
The monthly Summer Hills HOA Board meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of every month.  We are currently meeting at Lone Star College - Kingwood in room CLB 101 (across the Sorters Road from the tennis courts).

Can I keep livestock on my property (goats, chickens, etc)?
Livestock is prohibited in our neighborhood according to the deed restrictions.

I have a question/concern about my association dues, whom do I contact?
You may contact our property management company, Custom Management.  They can work with you if you need to make payment arrangements or have questions about the dues.  If you want to address the board concerning the association dues, you may do that via email, MySummerHills@gmail.com, or you may attend the monthly HOA board meeting.

What do my association dues pay for?
Our association dues pay for the things we have in common as neighbors in Summer Hills.  Among other things, it pays for:

  • Lights and water for the common areas
  • Maintenance and repair of the park, mailboxes and signs
  • Security patrols
  • Upkeep of the common areas
  • Administration of the association (postage, printing, supplies, etc.)
  • Legal costs of enforcing the deed restrictions 
  • Many other miscellaneous commonly shared expenses
